The Saw-ADD Advancement Over Previous Technology
In the sample trends the differential (shown in purple) between the leading and trailing guide pressures shows a relationship to the leading edge pressure (shown in blue) much like acceleration has to velocity. While the pressure on the leading edge of the saw is changing, the saw blade is being torqued out of parallel to the feed direction causing it to steer like a rudder in the wood thereby generating deviation
This trend also shows a low resolution blade deviation signal from an inductive proximity sensor on the top guide (shown in red) which has the opposite polarity (negative towards the guide because distance is decreasing as pressure is increasing). The deviation increases only 7 thou, peeking 104 ms after the pressure differential exceeded the limit causing the feed to decrease.
